TRANSIENT SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS OF TRANSMISSION LINES IN HIGH-SPEED VLSI CIRCUITS

摘要: 本文用特征法分析计算高速VLSI电路中传输线的瞬态响应相对于传输线参数和终端负载参数的灵敏度,从而为VLSI电路信号连接线的优化设计提供了一个有用工具。传输线的终端负载可以为非线性,传输的信号形状可以任意,这是该方法区别于基于数值拉氏逆变换的灵敏度分析方法的最大特点。Abstract: The characteristics method is introduced to analyze the transient sensitivity of transimission lines in high-speed VLSI circuits with respect to the transmission line parameters or terminal parameters, supplying a useful tool for the optimization design of interconnects in VLSI circuits. The characteristics method differs from the existing sensitivity analysis method based on the numerical inverse Laplace Transform(NILT) technique mainly in that the characteristics method can deal with nonlinear terminals and arbitrary transmitted signals.
