The Analysis of Phase Estimation Algorithm Based on Orthogonal Transformation

摘要: 论文分析了采用正交变换的相位差计算法中量化误差与噪声对估计结果的影响,得到了估计值的分布特性、方差以及偏差的分布规律。分析表明:大多数情况下即使信号中叠加的噪声均值为零,信号相位的估计值也是有偏的,因此不能通过平均的方法完全消除噪声影响。同时估计的偏差和方差是相位真值、信噪比及量化误差三者的函数;相应的仿真实验也支持了理论分析结论。Abstract: This paper discusses the influence of both quantization and noise upon the estimation results in phase estimation algorithm based on orthogonal transformation. The bias, variance and distribution property of estimated values are provided, the theoretical analysis shows that the expectation of the phase estimated is biased in most of the cases even the noise is zero-mean-valued, and the effect could not be removed by averaging. In addition the variance of the estimated result is a function of SNR (Signal-Noise Ratio), quantization and its value. This conclusion is supported by simulations.
