Objective Assessment of the Color Errors in RGB Undersampled Images Based on Color Blending of Multi-scale Region

摘要: 针对彩色阵列显示设备中由于采用亚像素寻址技术引起的颜色错误问题,该文提出了一种定位和量化的方法。基于人眼空间混色特性,指出颜色误差的度量应在多尺度混色区域下进行。以亚像素矩型排布为例,从点阵理论的结构基元出发,设计多尺度混色区域的形状与大小,实现了颜色错误的定位与量化。分析和实验表明,以多尺度区域混色颜色误差为基础的自适应颜色误差消除法在弱化颜色错误的同时保持了更多原有图像的细节。Abstract: A novel method of?locating and quantifying the color errors introduced by subpixel addressing technology in color matrix displays is proposed. According to the spatial color blending of human visions, the paper indicates that the measurement of color errors should be performed within multi-scale region of color blending. Taking rectangular arrangement of subpixels as an example, the shape and size of the multi-scale blending region is designed base on the structure basis of lattice theory, and color errors locating and quantifying is achieved. Analysis and experiments show that the adaptive method of eliminating color errors based on the multi-scale blending region can keep more original image details while weaken color errors efficiently.
