Research on Range Profile Synthesizing Method for High Speed Moving Target in Stepped Frequency Modulated Radar

摘要: 调频步进信号具有作用距离远、硬件实现简单的特点,在现代雷达目标识别中具有明显优势。该文推导了调频步进信号合成距离像的原理,分析了目标运动对合成距离像的影响。为了克服调频步进信号回波对目标运动敏感的缺陷,提出一种脉冲重复时间可变的调频步进信号,通过对脉冲重复时间预先设计来消除目标速度与频率的耦合效应,并通过回波对消技术消除目标加速度对合成距离像的影响,给出了该算法对脉冲重复时间的精度要求。仿真结果证明了算法的有效性。Abstract: Because its capability in long-range imaging with simple hardware architecture, the stepped frequency modulated signal has an obvious advantage in modern radar target recognition. The principle of synthesizing the range profile using stepped frequency modulated signal is derived. However, the radar echo is sensitive to target motion, which makes the range profile blurred. To solve this problem, a novel type of stepped frequency modulated signal is put forward, in which the pulse repetition time is variational. The target velocity-frequency coupling is avoided by predesigning the pulse repetition time, and the influence of acceleration is eliminated by phase cancellation. The precision request of the pulse repetition time is discussed. Simulations with synthetic data confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.
