EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE DEPRESSED COLLECTOR DESIGNED WITH COMPUTER

  • In our previous paper[1] the physical-mathematical model suitable for eomputing the depressed collector was presented, and a general computer program was given. In this paper, making use of this program, a method of designing the multi-stage depressed collector is described. And using this method, double stage depressed collector which is used in a C-band, watt level TWT with 22-24 percent electron efficiency is designed. As a result, the collector efficiency is higher than 74 percent and the tube efficiency(excluding heater power) is higher than 50 percent.
