AN ALGORITHM FOR DETERMINING BIT DROPPING THRESHOLDS OF AAL2 PACKET VOICE MULTIPLEXER

  • This paper describes two kinds of AAL2 packet voice multiplexers based on input and output bit dropping. An algorithm for determining the bit dropping thresholds using the number of voice packets to determine the thresholds is presented with relevant computation formula. The computer simulation results show that the algorithm presented here is good for determining the bit dropping thresholds with low packet delay and small packet loss probability and easy operation.
