The Study of Routing and Handover in NGSO Rosette Constellations

  • This paper discusses the routing and handover issue hi the NGSO rosette satel-lite constellations equipped with Inter-Satellite Links (ISL). Based on the variation regular-ity of the rosette constellation topology, a novel routing strategy named circularly refreshing routing strategy is proposed. Then, by appropriately combining routing and handover pro-cedure, the Minimal-Hop Handover (MHH) strategy is proposed. Compared with other previous strategies, the simulation results show that MHH strategy performs better with less propagation delay and lower handover frequency, so it has a good practical value.
