Detection of Weak Ship Target Based on Taper Scale Transform

  • In this paper, a new approach based on Taper Scale Transform (TST) is presented for weak ship target detection in the circumstance of strong clutter and noise. By scaling the coordinate of signal instantaneous correlation function, the coupling between slow time and lag time is removed, thus fully coherent integration can be achieved for target detection. The determination of scaling factor and the interference of cross terms related to detection are analyzed. Real data result verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
