  • A new fairness criterion based on the joint optimization of the physical layer and the MAC layer is proposed in this paper. It is suitable for both the real-time traffic and the non-real-time traffic. According to the criterion a new cross-layer resource allocation scheme is presented. Simulation results confirm the significant performance improvement and the user QoS satisfaction fairness by the proposed scheme.
